Hi Jeff,

 

I think you may be hitting the limit from a non client sender here ,configurable  under the smtp  receive settings.

Try and filter with the IP address to check if I'm correct.

 

Check out the security section in the manual for an explanation of how it works

The following is showing up in our logs and I'm not sure what the error implies:

 

12:06:10.240 4 SMTPI-856048([216.211.115.123]) cmd: AUTH PLAIN <redacted>

12:06:12.335 4 SMTPI-856048([216.211.115.123]) rsp: 532 access from your network is restricted, try later

 

and then a few minutes later, after typing in the password again, the customer gets this:

 

12:21:26.341 4 SMTPI-860670([216.211.115.123]) cmd: AUTH PLAIN <redacted>

12:21:26.342 4 SMTPI-860670([216.211.115.123]) authenticating: 216.211.115.123:50537 CLRTXT [email protected] * <password>

12:21:26.342 4 SMTPI-860670([216.211.115.123]) authenticating: AUTH PROXY <redacted2>

12:21:26.343 2 SMTPI-860670([216.211.115.123]) '[email protected]' linked from [216.211.115.123]:50537

 

There were no modifications to the account between those connections.  At the client end, credentials were re-entered, but the <redacted> part looked the same.

 

Any ideas what "rsp: 532 access from your network is restricted, try later" means?
