During my entire tenure of 15+ years managing CGP systems on RHEL, my update procedure was always: stop CGP rpm uninstall old package rpm install new package start CGP Not sure if that was out of habit due to some documented or verbal instructions from Stalker, or it's still required/recommended, that's just how I did it.
