Can't use multiple config directories?

Is it possible to use two different config directories for the same user?

Because cone, as far as I can tell, does not support multiple SMTP servers 
I created a directory ~/.coneSIMP and I started cone with "cone -c 
~/.coneSIMP"

The settings loaded are different from the "regular" cone from ~/.cone.
However I added an IMAP account, asked it to load a configuration folder 
and it loaded the wrong one.

To make it easier to understand the problem:

I have domain A which uses SMTPA, domain B that uses SMTPB

In .cone directory
Domain A
using SMTP A

In .coneSIMP directory
Domain B
using SMTP B

I login to domain B and do a remote configuration of a machine/user that 
have had a remote config of domain B. The remote configuration that gets 
pulled is the one for .cone (Domain A)

In another machine I did two separate users and that worked fine, but I 
rather have one user and two config directories.
