Specific case: in my Spam folder right now there are 2 random messages. I could either mark them using the space bar or, as you suggested, use a search to match them. I followed your advice and used the search and matched both messages in the folder. When I hit O to move them, I still am offered to move only the 1 message that came first in the search. I am still unable to move multiple messages.
