using xubuntu 10.04.2. Cone version 0.8 (installed from ubuntu repos) - i know there is an update which will probably be in the xubuntu 11.10 in october I'd be very grateful if you could correct me on the outgoing server config. I know it might be simple but i'm afraid i can't see my error from reading through the notes. I can receive mail, but cannot send - however it doesn't seem to store mail headers... should be in 'Inbox'. If like Alpine one has got to set up 'Role' and then one can send 'from' that particular email address (if using multiple accounts... from each of those individually). Perhaps Cone is like Thunderbird - one uses one smtp for all acounts (whether they are the same server or not e.g. aol.com and gmail.com). thanks james Below are my inputs so far. message i get after sending - seems to send to my hard drive.
