My workaround works for me, not sure why it's not working for you.

You can try the jackhammer approach, and setting LANG=en_US.utf-8, to show  
all the dates in English.

But, in any case, this is a bug, and this will be fixed in the next version.

If you ant to try building Cone yourself, http://www.courier- 
mta.org/download.php#cone build 20111003 should have this fixed.
