I have been reading through the cone documentation on the website, and I really like the look of the program. I have a couple questions about the way in which cone handles mbox mailboxes. When it says that cone "copies all existing mail from the system mailbox file to $HOME/Inbox", does this mean that it leaves all the mail in the system mbox and just makes a copy of it -- or does it remove the messages from the system mailbox and make a copy of it in $HOME/Inbox? If cone only copies and never moves/removes any messages from the system mailbox, I guess the system mailbox has to be managed seperately so that it doesn't grow out of control? Also, with this way of copying the mbox to $HOME/Inbox and then working on it as it needs, does cone eliminate some of the issues with mbox locking when both the MTA and MUA want access to the file? For example, since cone copies the mbox to the user's home folder, does that leave the system mbox free for mail delivery from the MTA even while cone might be viewing or composing a message? A couple other questions: If you do not define a special folder for sent mail when using local mbox or maildir accounts, will cone just skip the saving of sent messages and not keep a record of these anywhere? Where does cone save the backup copy of an interrupted compose message? Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn Graph Databases - Download FREE O'Reilly Book "Graph Databases" is the definitive new guide to graph databases and their applications.
