Hello,
I'm having a bit of trouble compiling cone on OS X 10.11.4. My goal is
to make it functional as a homebrew recipe (along with courier-unicode),
but I need to get cone functional first.
I'm configuring and making courier-unicode using the attached patch and
the following commands.
#v+
./configure --prefix=/Users/dave/usr/src/cone/cu
make
make install
#v-
That's a temporary location until I figure the homebrew stuff out.
I then configure and make cone with the following commands.
#v+
LDFLAGS="-L/Users/dave/usr/src/cone/cu/lib"
CPPFLAGS="-I/Users/dave/usr/src/cone/cu/include" ./configure -C
--prefix=/Users/dave/usr/src/cone/cone
make
#v-
That is as far as I get. The result is as follows.
#v+
...
g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -Wall -I../libs -I./../libs -g -O2 -MT
cursesscreen.o -MD -MP -MF .deps/cursesscreen.Tpo -c -o cursesscreen.o
cursesscreen.C
cursesscreen.C:522:2: error: use of undeclared identifier 'addwstr'; did
you mean 'addstr'?
addwstr(text);
^~~~~~~
addstr
/usr/include/curses.h:524:28: note: 'addstr' declared here
extern NCURSES_EXPORT(int) addstr (const char *);
/* generated */
^
cursesscreen.C:522:10: error: cannot initialize a parameter of type
'const char *' with an lvalue of type 'wchar_t *'
addwstr(text);
^~~~
/usr/include/curses.h:524:48: note: passing argument to parameter here
extern NCURSES_EXPORT(int) addstr (const char *);
/* generated */
^
2 errors generated.
make[3]: *** [cursesscreen.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2
#v-
So, based on that information, what am I doing wrong? Or, probably more
correctly, what other information do I need to provide to allow someone
else to point out what I'm doing wrong?
I've checked for addwstr by looking at `man addwstr`, and it is there.
The file `/usr/include/curses.h` is there, and contains addwstr. I'm
not sure what else I should be looking for.
Regards,
-dave
