But SA-Exim is no use without SpamAssassin...?

No idea. But if you're on an RPM-based system by any chance, you might
want to try "cpanflute2", "perlmod2rpm" or "cpan2rpm", all of which are 
little programs to help build CPAN modules into RPMs.
