Hi, I've been running Exim for 6 months or more for about a dozen domains, and it's been much less hassle than Sendmail. I'm trying to add SpamAssassin to it, but am having a problem with it, wonder if anyone can help? I can build and install the binary, then when I try to start Exim, I get the message: 2004-01-29 20:45:02 Exim configuration error in line 576 of /usr/exim/configure: local_scan() options not supported: (LOCAL_SCAN_HAS_OPTIONS not defined in Local/Makefile) lines 575-7 of /usr/exim/configure are: begin local_scan local_scan_path=/usr/exim/local_scan/sa-exim-3.1.so as suggested by the SA-Exim instructions. Defining LOCAL_SCAN_HAS_OPTIONS in Local/Makefile means I can't even build Exim (get the same message as http://lists.merlins.org/archives/sa-exim/2003-August/000560.html - undefined reference to 'local_scan_options') Versions of stuff: Exim 4.30 Sa-Exim 3.1 Gcc 2.95.3 20010315 (from www.sunfreeware.com) GNU make 3.78.1 (also from www.sunfreeware.com) SPARC Solaris 8 02/02 I seem to be stuck in a loop - I can't compile it with LOCAL_SCAN_HAS_OPTIONS, and can't run it unless it was compiled with it! Any help greatly appreciated, Steve. Steve Parker [email protected]
