You said it isn't affected, but my LCM playbook now fails on git:

fatal: [provisioner]: FAILED! =>
{"changed": false,
  "cmd": ["/usr/local/bin/git", "fetch", "--tags", "origin"],
  "msg": "Failed to download remote objects and refs:  fatal: Could not 
read from remote repository.
          Please make sure you have the correct access rights
          and the repository exists."
}

It uses git://git.exim.org/exim.git and a specific tag (4.98.2), but a 
plain -git clone- on another host yields the same result.

Could there be a connection after all?
