Under FreeBSD using port for 4.99.5:

in /usr/ports/mail/exim/files/patch-src__EDITME delete "-lgds "

in /usr/ports/mail/exim/files/patch-src_miscmods_radius.c in the line
 else if (!rc_avpair_add(&send, PW_USER_PASSWORD, CS radius_args, 0))
replace "CS radius_args" with "pwd"

cd /usr/ports/mail/exim
make extract
cd work
rm -r exim-4.99.5
(downloaded exim-4.100-RC1.tar.bz2)
tar xf exim-4.100-RC1.tar.bz2
mv exim-4.100-RC1 exim-4.100RC1
cd /usr/ports/mail/exim
(in Makefile edited EXIM_VERSION from 4.99.5 to 4.100RC1 )
make
make deinstall install

Works so far.
