Language debate (as suggested by Avleen Vig)

Hi All,

I'd like to put forward my (possibly unfounded) objection to using 
Python as a basis for vexim, and sticking with PHP.

Personally, I'd prefer to stick with PHP, mainly out of preference, but 
also because the bulk of Vexim is already working beautifully, with 
minimal fuss on over 4000 domains and supporting over 40,000 users in 
it's present form.

Why make such a drastic change when it's worked so well for so many?

A re-write may well be on the cards, but I would suggest re-building the 
core in a slightly more modular format, without changing the language.

My main reason for using vexim was the fact that it was written in PHP, 
making my learning curve so much easier as I already have enough on my 
plate maintaining a whole stack of Perl, PHP and some custom scripting 
systems, without having to learn another language.

Consider this debate started :)
