That is a limitation of Mailman.  Mailman was originally designed 
without virtual domains in mind and so you cannot have the same list 
name  (or local part) for separate domains.  cPanel did a mod to allow 
duplicate list names but they have never shared their patch with the 
community.  Mailman 3, which is currently an alpha release, is supposed 
to fix this.
