Hello, I would like to try Exim4U as a substitute for Vexim, as already mentioned in a prev post. Of course that is not against vexim, I have to say I was very satisfied with vexim over the last years. Thank you very much, Avleen and others who contributed. Actually I already started with Exim4U. It looks promising, the only missing thing for me is debian related configuration. I see that you (Gordon) are developing on Redhat. Nonetheless it is maybe worth to have a Debian section (and maybe other distis) somewhere in your homepage / documentation, even if this is more or less empty as of now. Or what about a wiki. I especially talk about debian, because 1.) I use it :-) and 2. debian's primary mail server is exim4, so there might be strong interest from here. What I ve found so far: - current exim4 version for debian (stable) is 4.69, no dkim features there, configuration fails, I had out-commented them for now. - mail user and group for debian is "Debian-exim" rather than "exim" - There is no mailnull user by default in debian - default location is /etc/exim4, need to modify all paths in the configuration. - default location of the configuration is /etc/exim4/exim4.conf rather than exim.conf - configuration procedure for exim is quite special in debian There will likely come up much more issues when using exim4u with debian... Thanks for exim4u anyhow. Are there other users using exim4u with debian, or intend to migrate from vexim to exim4u? best regards, Karl
