Hi Karl,

Thanks for installing Exim4U!

I agree with you regarding Debian. Last week, I installed Exim4U on a
Ubuntu Hardy machine with Apache 2.2.8 (apache2) and exim 4.69 (exim4)
both of which were Debian binaries from the Ubuntu repositories. The
installation went well and everything appears to be working except for
DKIM as you mentioned since Exim 4.69 does not support DKIM. I have
since written some additional instructions for Debian/Ubuntu users which
are now in the Exim4U Subversion trunk at:

http://exim4u.org/svn/exim4u_src/trunk/DEBIAN

I think that all the issues that you covered in your email have been
addressed in this file. Also, instructions for using Exim version 4.69
with Exim4U are covered in the svn trunk here:

http://exim4u.org/svn/exim4u_src/trunk/EXIM_4.69

These files will be included in the next Exim4U release. In addition, I
am soon going to install Debian and FreeBSD on my own hardware so that I
can properly test and support Exim4U on these operating systems. I will
soon be putting together an instruction file for FreeBSD as well.

Please be aware that the Exim4U Subversion trunk is where development
takes place so please treat it accordingly. I would advise to only use
the trunk files in test environments and not on production machines. I
am currently working on the next Exim4U release (1.2.2) which should
include the following:

- The Debian, FreeBSD and Exim 4.69 documentation as referred to above.
- Instructions for customizing appearance. That is, instructions on how
to customize Exim4U to include your own logo (or no logo) and other
appearance related items.
- Updated default settings.
- Other minor changes.

FYI,

Gordon
