I hadn't actually considered doing it this way ie adding my script to the
port - it certainly wasn't my intention, more a tool for the maintainer
to update the port with. If it is included, I wouldn't want it to be used
during port installation (causing inconsistency in port 'versions'), but
I'm not sure if that was your intention in any case.  I presume that the
2.8.0 tarball would be a one-off? If not, the script would become almost
redundant in any case. I can live with that...
