Hi,
Stanford IT recently upgraded it's deployed exmh from v2.5 to v2.7.2. I've
since run into the below described problem.
the machine I run exmh on @stanford is of Sun-Solaris flavor.
might there be an installation config knob/setting that didn't get twiddled
appropriately? I don't know if this is an issue on any other deployed machine
arcitecture there @stanford. i don't think many folks use exmh any longer, so
I doubt the IT folks are getting much feedback on it overall.
thanks,
JeffH

..if there is an existing file with the same name.
I regularly email myself files, eg to update my web page ;) (since I don't
run AFS on my lapstation when I'm off-campus (which is all the time these
days)), and on exmh 2.5 I would simply save the file, eg index.html, and
overwrite the existing file, and voila all done.
now exmh complains only that there is an error in copying the attached file
from /tmp to the target location. if the existing file is first removed, then
it saves it fine. I checked permissions and all and don't think that is an
issue.
offhand, it doesn't look like there is an exmh preference governing this.
I can submit this as a helpsu ticket if you wish.
thanks,
JeffH
