Thanks, the suggestions of the group got me up and running.
XV is what I wanted to display the graphics.
And when I went to run XV on a graphic I found that there were about
a dozen libraries that it needed that were missing.  I copied them over
and everything is working.

Now if I could just get sound working I would move to f9 (sigh)
