I haven't seen such a misbehaviour under sedit window. I also run FC10 (latest Fedora distro!). But my window manager isn't KDE or GNOME but mwm that comes from http://lesstif.sourceforge.net web-site. To Larry : have you ever tried changing your desktop environ- ment ? Switch from GNOME to KDE or the other way around ... Sorry if I can't help you that much.
