EXMH on FReeBSD.

I need someone running EXMH on FreeBSD (2.8.0 on 10.2).

There is a simple couple line fix to get EXMH to 
compile, I have that, and EXMH runs fine EXCEPT for
FONTS.

The PREFERENCES series of windows works fine, but
the two MORE popups, popup but with no text in them.

I assume this is a font problem, and went to
Preferences/Fonts, but making this choice causes 
EXMH to abort.

So, Ive loaded some extra fonts (freefonts, urwfonts)
but this does not fix the problem.

Before I go looking at the code I would appreciate
any help from someone who has already gone down
this path.
