Actually, it's not exmh - it's getting it from whatever your system's
MH/nmh does - that's where most of the heavy lifting happens.  So the
question isn't how to configure exmh to do this, it's how to get MH/nmh
to do it.

Can't speak to others, but I use a 'components' file:

and that gets the job done.  Similarly for replies, I have

You can of course just copy the distributed version into place and
edit it as needed -

The secret sauce here is that exmh just invokes 'scan'.

What I do:

% grep scan .mh_profile
scan: -form scan/timely
inc: -form scan/timely

(Second entry only needed if you use 'inc' - if you're an slocal or
procmail/rcvstore type, it's handled by exmh via scan when needed)

And then my Mail/scan/timely is a hideous beast.. To save you the scrolling,
if you want the size in there, you just want to stick %6(size) at the spot
in the scan format you want the size to be (and feel free to change the 6 to
whatever number of columns you want....

Basically, if it's a courtesy copy of what I sent to a list, say who it
was *to*, because we know it was *from* me.  And then if it looks like
it's from an automated process, strip the user@ part to have a better chance
of the full domain showing up in 17 columns (because seeing "postmaster@mail1."
tells me less than seeing "mail1.badmail.com")

I'll let you figure out what the rest of it does yourself. :)
