IMAP is one of my goals for nmh (which is really what you'd need to get
IMAP into exmh, I think, unless you want to rewrite exmh).  That has been
a discussion item on the nmh mailing lists for a while, and I did some
preliminary tests that convinced me it is feasible.  But it is going to
be a lot of work.
