Kyle and Charles, thanks for your replies. If I understand Charles' suggestion, you're both suggesting similar things that require storage of requests from the past. Kyle, your suggestion is in fact what I do, and email the monthly results to the user. Unfortunately, she's lost the emails and her analysis of them, and wondered if it would be possible to recreate the monthly totals from scratch. Thanks, again, for thinking about and responding to my question. -Kevin -----Original Message----- From: Kyle Wheeler [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 23, 2006 6:11 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Warning of discrepancies between Logs and counts of subscribers On Monday, October 23 at 12:49 PM, quoth Charles Cazabon: >Zembower, Kevin <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> Based on this conclusion, I can't think of a way to recreate the monthly >> counts of subscribers. You could also do something like save the contents of ezmlm-list each month (e.g. `ezmlm-list > lastmonth.txt`), and report the diff between the latest output and the previous month's output. ~Kyle -- That it is better 100 guilty Persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer, is a Maxim that has been long and generally approved. -- Benjamin Franklin
