I don't think you understand what I meant; I didn't describe an "alternative";
I describe the way that ezmlm already works.

i.e., with a moderated list, you have this:

  -subscriber submits message to list
  -message is delivered to moderators
  -if moderator rejects message, or the message times out in the moderation
  queue, a rejection message is sent to the submitter
  -if moderator accepts message, the message is delivered to all subscribers,
  *including* the original submitter of the message.  The submitter knows
  their message was accepted because of this.
