By mistake, a bunch of literature was printed with an email list's address as the 'subscribe' address. In other words, users were told to write to '[email protected]' to subscribe, rather than '[email protected]'. This is an announcement-type list, where only the moderators are allowed to post. Consequently, non-subscribers writing to '[email protected]' get the error message "ezmlm-store: fatal: I'm sorry, you are not allowed to post messages to this list". One way I thought to deal with this is to modify the ezmlm-store message to something like "ezmlm-store: fatal: I'm sorry, you are not allowed to post messages to this list. To subscribe, write to '[email protected].'". Is there anyway to change the text of this error message? EZFAQ 0.40 mentions in 18.7 where some of the error messages are stored, and the requirement to recompile ezmlm to change them. Is this still the case? Is there any easier way to make this change? Also, are there any other suggested methods of dealing with this overall problem? The only requirements are to use the '[email protected]' name for the email list, and we can't recall the literature that has already been distributed. Thanks for your advice and suggestions. -Kevin Kevin Zembower Internet Services Group manager Center for Communication Programs Bloomberg School of Public Health Johns Hopkins University 111 Market Place, Suite 310 Baltimore, Maryland 21202 410-659-6139
