Re: ezmlm is blocking all qmail-remote process

I've been running this for the past 1-2 weeks due to Yahoo (primarily, but AOL 
and Cox are also culprits) deferring so many emails.  When I watched my 
qmail-remote destinations, I saw that Yahoo was consuming all the remote 
connections with the "churn" of deferrals.  Kind of a reverse DoS.

My hope with applying this patch was to limit outbound dedication to any one 
IP and "round robin" through the queue, giving mail to more receptive and 
smaller ISPs a chance to get through.  My observations to date have been that 
the patch accomplishes this.  So it might be of use to you also.

Another advantage is that at last, I can make Qmail stop DoS'ing ISP's that 
have limited local concurrency on their mail servers.  This makes Qmail a 
better network citizen for servers with high concurrencyremote settings.

The next step with Yahoo is to begin using DomainKeys which it's said, they 
prefer and expedite email for.  I'm waiting for for further news about this.
