1. I think I need to investigate this, and I must ask again for the
logs, because POP3 should not skip message #1 and if it does there
should be relevant logging (note a difference between "retained" and
"kept" and "skipped") - with one exception that would typically *not*
apply to Google's mail services but only to specific server software
that appears to be dying out as species.

to make systematic edits for privacy as, use something blatantly obvious
such as XXXXXXXXXXXXx, YYYYYYYYYYY or similar. Be sure to use the same
replacement everywhere, i. e. make all joe into XXXXXX and all karla
into YYYYYY, and use search&replace.

2. Please use "Reply to List" (or "Reply to all") and do NOT start new
threads when you are replying.
