retrieve and delete mails from gmail.

hello,

I try again to find the correct syntax to delete mails from gmail after 
retrieving.
the mails go from INBOX sure enough but they are still in All Mail.
If I use the syntax somebody posted earlier

mailboxes = ("[Gmail]/All Mail","INBOX")
then it gets them twice and keeps getting them from All Mail as they are 
not deleted

I try to move to trash

move_on_delete = ("[Gmail]/Trash")

and variations but no joy
anybody got a getmailrc that works for getting and deleting mails from 
gmail ?

"delete = true" works as you would expect for mail at my hosting 
company.
