Over the years I've taken commercial development sponsorship a few times, from companies that had interest in getting some new functionality into getmail. There's not really anything big needed these days, so "rewrite the whole thing to be modern" is unlikely to be on anyone's list ;) I'm definitely not looking to collect small contributions from getmail users. If Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos offers me a million dollars in thanks, I won't turn them down, but no one here should feel any need to send me ${AMOUNT}.
