You are not providing ANY logs, neither for getmail nor for fetchmail
<https://www.fetchmail.info/fetchmail-FAQ.html#G3> nor from sendmail or
whatever provides your /usr/sbin/sendmail (Exim, Postfix).
With this little information, nobody will be able to help you. Make sure
that DNS works, your partitions are not out of space, and then try to
obtain logs.
