To support avoiding  3rd-party sites  did I prepare a patch against 5.14
that brings it to 6.1.   But that patch was to big for the mailinglist.

Now a three part approach. This is part one, it removes trailing
whitespaces and some obsolete files.

Part 2 and 3 follow after part 1 has arrived at this ML
