Any best practices you could / may > want to share? A good way is to configure a spam filter, such as SpamAssassin, as a getmail filter. Set it up so it just adds headers. Then have getmail send the mail directly to dovecot-lda. Sieve can then file spam into a spam folder. You probably don't need anything else. Using getmail filters and delivering to a delivery agent is well documented. Once you have that set up you can't look into setting-up training folders so that you can train whichever filter you use from your email client. If you use SpamAssassin I wouldn't recommend the dovecot antispam plugin, but it's OK for bogofilter.
