Same applies here: I had to switch to Roland's version at about the same
time, when Fedora dropped Python 2. The only difference is that there is
no getmail package for Fedora.
 


So, many thanks to both Charles for writing an excellent, flexible mail
getter and to Roland for porting it to Python 3. My mail stream is
obviously different, since I haven't seen the current character
miscoding problem at all.
