That's not how getmail works - in fact, it can't work that way, as POP and IMAP don't support that concept; the server does not track "what this client has seen and what it hasn't". getmail keeps track of the messages it has seen, nothing else. > Is that possible? You only need to retrieve old mail once for getmail to remember it as "seen" and not fetch it again (with the appropriate options); you can delete the local copy afterwards and getmail won't know or care.
