Well, that's almost 9 years old... While getmail has not fundamentally changed
in that period, there have been a lot of minor updates.

It would be best if you install version 5.16, which you can get from my
website - there is no breaking change from 4.x to 5, it was just getting to be
too high a number.

Do not use "getmail6", which is a hostile fork and has a history of bugs.

It's possible.  I'm afraid I don't recall the details of every change over the
last 9 years, even when looking at the changelog.
