It looks like it depends on which hotmail server your account happens to be
assigned to. I created a few hotmail test accounts and they STILL work fine
for me.

Give this a try; gotmail -u gotmail_testing -p password

If this works, I'm stuck as what to do. Does anybody know how hotmail
decides which server to create your account on? No matter what I do, any
account I create seems to be assigned to by1fd.bay1.hotmail.msn.com, which
always seems to work fine with gotmail.

If somebody else can create a test account which DOESN'T work, I'd be happy
to look into it.
