AFAIK you installed a somewhat outdated copy of moinmoin from a ports
collection, and this was it. although moinmoin (written in pyhton)
has all the features one expects from a wiki, we had the following
issues not resolved:

- admin access. you just told me that other than installing that
wiki you had no idea about wikis.

- migration of the old contents. we have two options here: (i)
everybody who had contributed to the old one digs up his private
copies and uploads them himself, or (ii) work out a way to copy the
entire contents over in one batch. the latter would best be done
using some kind of HTTP/FTP/RSYNC etc. upload, but i'm not sure if
we could just send each page or if/what administrative checks and
   changes would be required.

so, does everybody ever contributing to our old wiki still have local
copies of his own stuff? this would mean some work for every shoulder
instead of one real big job for one admin.
