But I stand my statement that it won't be worth it, pending further clarifying input from its proponents, because I'm measuring the total cost of deployment, including the efforts (and patches and bodges) needed to get it to gain sufficiently widespread acceptance, compared to what I think could be accomplished within the SMTP, or at least the "push", paradigm, and/or to what might be accomplished with a more-flexible paradigm allowing per-message negotiation of push, pull, and so on. -- James Craig Burley Software Craftsperson <http://www.jcb-sc.com>
