Apologies Kyle, but some sort of action was needed:

On the upside, we've not had a spam attack since the 14th Jan.  On the
downside we've only had about 5 or so contributions since then.

If anyone has any ideas on less obstructive ways to contend with
wiki-spam I'd be interested.
