Mostly for compability reasons for present and future releases.

Also, bincimap-up sends checkpassword related information on some fd 
(can't remember what) that might interfere.

There surely must be an already existing checkpassword out there that 
can do this (if not checkpassword already have some ignore password option).

Otherwise, by all means, do whatever you want. :)
