Docus for IMAP folders

Hello all,
IMAP itself works fine now (using K9 mail), sending and receiving e-mails 
as expected.

K-9 does not offer a way to create a folder, so I want to create them
on the server, e.g.
maildirmake -f sent Mail

However, on K-9 mail, no folder is shown.

Is there some documentation how to debug this? I read older posts like

but this did not help (I fear that I'm just slightly off the
solution).
