A couple of notes: 1. I accidentally included the path to my EasyAlias.authlib file within the <code></code> tags. That, of course, is not part of the code of the bash script. 2. Enabling plus addressing is very useful. Some mail service providers allow use of plus addresses on the fly without the need to manually create them as an alias on their system and don't count them toward your limit of aliases if they have a limit. But the risk is that some systems do not support them. Best case scenario is that a form or page won't accept them if they're not supported. Worst case scenario is that the form allows them to be submitted, but then the back end systems do not support them. And then you'll just never get an email message from that system. Many will remove t he plus sign and treat it as a space. Others will only record the portion after the plus. If a form rejects entry of a plus sign, most will allow the dash sign. But not all. I occasionally still find a form that gives me an "invalid email" error when trying to use a dash. It's actually pretty surprising how many coders of systems and forms don't know what t he list of characters that are valid in email addresses is. But acceptance of the plus sign is getting better. I regular see systems that didn't support it previously bust start supporting it after some system upgrade or change. Again, I hope all this and the bash script that I submitted helps someone. And sorry for my hacking up the format of these replies. I think this is my first time replying since I switched to digest mode. -Jerome On 7/14/2024 5:24 AM, [email protected] wrote: > Se _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [email protected] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
