Hello The deletion of the Courier in Debian is due to: depends on obsolete pcre3 library, obsolete Build-Depends: libidn11-dev with libidn-dev, FTBFS: configure: error: must specify --with-locking-method option, all soluctionable packaging a more modern version of Courier. The real reason behind these errors and the deletion is years without anyone having and packages new versions in Debian, said with my greatest thanks to all the people who at some point has dedicated time to Courier. I am spending time to Courier deb packaging, not because I am the best person to do it, because there are many more people who know a lot than and could do better, but because nobody is doing it.
