Archive over NFS.

Hi everyone. I would like to know if it's possible to put the archive partition over NFS. Same question about "DELETED", for example can I make /MAIL_BOX_DIR/DELETED as a mountpoint for a NFS partition. If it's yes do I have to take extra precaution about the something (sync, async, etc..)
