just for completion here:
To avoid any trouble with spool migration between (potentially) "different"
cyrus setups i typically prefer migration by IMAP - i.e. imapsync. It works
incremental too - so it maes easy to sync last inbound mail in a running
system just "with" switching users to new host withins seconds.

imapsync - authenticated by a cyrus admin user - is able to access / transfer
all postboxes - typically used (non default) flags are:

 --addheader (for correct "timestamping")

hth,
