"Read" status does not hold on shared folders anymore (Cyrus 3.4.2)

Hi  all,

I upgraded to 3.4.2 recently and ever since, the shared folders keep resetting 
the "read" flag for emails. Forcing all new emails to always show as unread.

Is there a new setting (previous version was 3.0.16, so expect I missed some 
new settings) that can explain this behaviour?
My preference is that there are individual read-states, not a single status 
for all users.
