Hello all, THanks for the suggestions. I can confirm that saslauthd is being run with the -r option. In desperation I even tried moving the -r to different parts of the commandline, just on the offchance that this mattered. It doesn't. Interesting observation about the default domain, which I shall try tomorrow and report back.
