no Search results for 3 Char From String

Hi,

one of our users had problems with the IMAP search. Searching the  
"From" header vor "Udo"
did not show any results. Searching for "Udo " did show results.
I did test with some other 3 Char Strings, where i know there are some  
Adresses, and i did reconstruct
and re-index the mailbox

Is this a bug or intended behavior? Did i miss an config Option

We are using squatter search engine with cyrus 3.4.9
