See the cyrus.conf man page <http://www.cyrusimap.org/imap/reference/manpages/configs/cyrus.conf.html> for details. We have a bunch of cyrus.conf examples in github <https://github.com/cyrusimap/cyrus-imapd/tree/master/doc/examples/cyrus_conf> and they all put the delprune task under EVENTS, so I'd suggest doing the same.
